Subject: Need Leadership
To: All USTC 777’s graduates Subject: We Need Leadership Zhang, Fan and Lin, Jian had raised good points and I completely agree with what they had suggested, especially the point that AN INCOMPLETE REUNION IS BETTER THAN NONE. While there will always be another reunion down the road, having a successful incomplete reunion is a great start and a trial for a future COMPLETE reunion. I agree with another point that a leadership is important for the success of this event. Jason has already qualified him as one of the leading person and we need one or two volunteers from 7771 to join him as the leading committee for organizing and decision. Without a strong leadership and commitment from a few energetic and non-selfish people, a successful reunion among ~100 of us spanning across the continent would be hard to imagine. Even an obvious consensus is emerged from our enthusiastic discussion, it would still remain to be a consensus not a concrete plan without someone’s effort to put it into a plan for us to follow. I propose both Lin, Jian and Zhang, Fan to be the leads for 7771 (I thought Dai, Sa would also be a right person but she already done so much for this). I knew that them both had committed to participate in this event. I like these inspiring remarks: “Let’s do it” form Lin, Jian; “Let’s get started” from Tang, Ming; “Leader and support” form Zhang, Fan; and “Quick decision” from Li, Feng. Time is running out and it’s time to act now. Let each of us make our own decision and send it to “Lao Wen” now. John ******************************************************************** Y.
