Subject: A Late Response

 Sorry I could not respond to Chen Yongshun and others
 sooner on this issue - was on frequent travels in the
 past two weeks and arrived in Beijing last night.
 
 I agree with Zhang Fan about donation to the families.
 As we know that the income of our professors/classmates
 in China is not high. Losses like this very often put
 the family in a very difficult financial situation. It
 is better for us to make the donation to the families
 directly, and let the families to decide whether they
 need the money to support their life, or to set up a
 scholarship fundation for memory.
 
 Like most classmates of 7773, I don't know much about 
 Prof. Huang Peihua. After reading notes from 7771 
 friends, I feel very sad about his tragety and the 
 difficult situation of his family. I suggest Yongshun
 or other 7771 people come up a solution quickly and 
 announce it on this board. I am willing to donate 
 some money to Prof. Huang's family.
 
 About 7773 classmate Luo Guobao, it seems he needs some
 immediate financial help. I am going to post a separate
 note about his case.
