Subject: Re: we should do something
Dear all, It was surprising and sad to hear that Prof. Huang Peihua was passed away. I did not know him very much personally but I know that, through my father, he was a pretty recognized scientist in the field of tectonics in China, at least, in his generation. I would like to support the idea that we should do something for him. Regarding how we are going to do, there may be many alternatives. For a long-term view, to set up "Huang Peihua Earth Science Fund" will benefit to him and his family (compensate the emotional loss) as well as our department and the university. This maybe also a good reason to take a step for those who may know little about Prof. Huang Peihua but would like to do something for Kedai or our department. I will give my positive response to whatever most of us to choose. Best regards, L. Huang P.S. To the website master: My home address is changed as follows 89 Rejane Cres Thornhill ON L4J 5A5 Canada
