Subject: Hello from Beijing

 I have been in China since the end of January. It was very nice to
 make a business trip to China this time so that I spent my Chinese
 New Year holiday in Sichuan. Have not done it for 17 years! If I
 get more time, I may write you a report about what I saw.
 
 Beijing's air is much better this year, thanks to the effort to 
 restrict coal and higher vehicle emission standard. The cultural
 life in Beijing is very colorful. I went to Beijing Music Hall
 for the "Tang/Song Famous Poems with Music". Absolutely wonderful!
 
 Will go to Michigan on 2/28, and come to Beijing on 3/14. If any of
 you are coming to Beijing at the same time, send me an e-mail if you 
 like. We can find a very good (not expensive) restaurant for a meal
 together. You can not find such food in US. 
 
 By the way, Gu Jun of 776 was appointed as the National Chief Scientist
 for IT. He is a faculty member at HK KeDa now.
