Subject: Something to keep for memory

I met a few 775ers in Chicago and mentioned 777 Reunion in
Vegas. "Really? Could you get enough response to do it? How
did you 777ers make it happen?" I reponded with a question like
this: Do you know Lao Wen, that guy who was very active in USTC?
He was the conductor of the university band, composed some music
like The Spring in KeDa, and played on Anhui TV ... ...
After that I think they are going to organize a 775 reunion and
may ask Lao Wen to help them. Here I just want to say Thank You
one more time to Lao Wen, Zhang Fan, Dai Sa, Yaojun, Yongping,
and others who invested a lot of time to make the reunion happen.

Now the reunion is over. I heard a lot of positive comments
and some regrets about this event. Many people felt it was
a little short thus we did not have enough time to talk to each
other. I think it's good that nobody complained about being
bored, and the a few regrets will make us look forward to
 the next reunion.

I'd like to have a good group picture and a more complete
video tape of the reunion to keep for memory. I am sure most
of us have the same wish. For this reason I'd like to make
 the following suggestions:

 1. If you made a good quality group picture (777, or 777x),
please scan it and send the file to me. I'll publish it on
our web site so we can choose the best one to order from
you. Given the light condition for the group picture, I am
not sure whether we can get a really good one. So please
send yours to me even the quality is not that good.

 2. If you made a video tape to cover most of the round table
introduction, are you willing to share it with the rest of us?
If so, you can mail the tape to me then I'll let other 777ers
to order from me. I have a dual deck VCR so it's easy to
make duplicates. I'll send the original back to you after
we finish this project in a couple of months.

 3. We'll make the group picture and the tape available to all
people who could not make it to Vegas. Many of them could not
come for various reasons but asked us to share the reunion with
them. I assume that some of us can spare a couple of hours to
write a short article about the reunion, for sharing with others
and for keeping a record for the event. If you do so, would you
please share it with all of us on the discussion board? I enjoyed
reading the poem by Lu Gang, and the notes by Yaojun and Dai Sa
 very much.

That's a nice thing to do!
