About

I am a Minnesota native. In high school, I watched a documentary on the race for the double-helix prompting my enthusiasm for molecules. I went on to recieve a bachelors in Biomolecular Engineering at University of California-Santa Cruz.

My junior and senior year of college, I worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Needhi Bhalla of the Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology Department, designing and developing fusion proteins in C. Elegens for the study of chromatin function during meiosis.

After my senior year of college I worked for Professor Don Wiberg in the Electrical Engineering Department running simulations in MATLAB for his recent Extended Kalman Filter Parameter Estimator algorithm.

I now work for Professor Bill Dunbar in the Computer Engineering Department, performing nanopore experiments.

My latests interests are in automatic control of biomolecules.
