Final Project

Task:

Write a program that implements a game using Elran Wheeler's Grafix package for Visual Studio.

Games that you can NOT do: Craps, blackjack, or hangman.

Games that have worked in the past (to give you an idea of the level of game you should be aiming for): Battleship, Mastermind, solitaire card games, two- player games where both players are human, memory, the Set game.

You will then present this project at a "poster" session during the Final Exam period, which is from 8-10am on Wednesday, May 18, 2005. No exceptions, and no extensions will be granted.

You will be graded on a number of different criteria, broken down roughly as follows:

• Functional decomposition of your game, due no later than Friday, May 13. - 10%
• Good programming style, including good variable names, comments and indenting. - 25%
• Organization of your program, including appropriate use of variables, user-defined data structures (such as structs and classes), and functions. - 15%
• Look and feel - does the program look finished or sloppy. Does it give appropriate instructions and feedback to the user. - 10%
• Functionality - Does the program run. Does it handle all the conditions it should. Does it properly handle inappropriate instructions. - 40%
