Class participation means more than just showing up for class. It means being an active and engaged participant in the discussions that we have. Heritage is about exploring what we believe about the world - those things that make us intelligent and thoughtful human beings. In order to do this, you need to make your opinions heard, and, yes, have them challenged. It is by having our preconceived notions about the world challenged, and then by defending them, that we learn what we truly believe.
