Proposed 2004 LA Chapter Events
Events are planned by UCSC Alumni (like you!) throughout the year. All Slugs
are welcome to help plan an event. About every other month, we do our planning
at potlucks held at the homes of a gracious slug. Planning Meetings are an
opportunity for Alumni to get in on the planning of events and the priorities
and direction of the LA Chapter. If you have an idea for an event, please
step forward with your ideas. We'd love to hear from you!

on how the Los Angeles Chapter can shape the future of UCSC.
For example, topics could cover:
- student population issues/ over-crowding of campus:
The need to balance the mandated admitance rate with the preservation
of open-space at UCSC and UCSC's uniqueness.
- the trend of the campus in focusing more on science and
engineering and less on the arts and humanities
