Apple ][+ Implemented on Altera DE1 or DE2
• Get the Apple ][+ on DE2 project - and read all the credits. Notice the .tar.gz is version 0.1 and the .zip is version 1.1 so get the .zip to get the latest and greatest.
• For DE1 Board here is the new .qsf (pin and stuff) file.
• Click here to get full apple2fpga.tar.gz modified for DE1 board Cassette out ($C020) GPIO_1(9). Cassette_in ($C060) GPIO_1(11). (Hey there is a ground pin between those two how convenient! SW(1) select between floating point or integer basic.
• When building with Quartus II for DE1 board there is a PIN_W20 dual use problem. This is the fixit info.

  Here is some code to process 8-bit at 24KHz captures from the emulated apple][ cassette port. Turns it into a hex file. In linux, "arecord --rate=24 -t raw filename.raw" is an example command to capture the audio. Yes it should be more commented and have more error handling. Wait for the official release.

It works pretty good although there are a few minor issues. The lo-res graphics squares sometimes change colors on the edge. In High-res on the left side some graphics wrap around or are affected or something going on there.
I didn't know VHDL but this project is a good one to play with to get familiar with it.
